CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver- Bend

Job Summary

Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our truck drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

About the Role

Our drivers are responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to customers while maintaining a positive relationship with each customer.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer to transport various products to customer locations.
• Manually unload/deliver products to customer locations according to the assigned route schedule.
• Build relationships with customers through a positive, friendly attitude and familiarity with their operations.
• Handle flexibility requirements, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1 year customer delivery experience.
• Preferred 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience.
• Preferred 6 months Food and Beverage experience.
• Preferred 2 years consistent work history.

Skills

Strong communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and a positive attitude are essential.
