CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver

Job Summary

Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our truck drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

About the Role

Our drivers are responsible for building strong relationships with customers, ensuring timely deliveries, and handling a variety of products. They must be able to read and speak English sufficiently, understand traffic signs, and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently
• Manually unload/deliver various products to customer locations
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
• Be familiar with customer operations to meet needs and expectations
• Handle a variety of products, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 100 pounds
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
• Pass employment testing
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year customer delivery experience preferred
• 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience preferred
• 6 months Food and Beverage experience preferred
• 2 years consistent work history preferred
