CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver
Job Summary
Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our truck drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.
About the Role
Our drivers are responsible for delivering a wide variety of products to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. They also interact with customers to ensure satisfaction and maintain strong relationships.
Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer to transport various products to customer locations.
- Manually unload and deliver products to customer locations according to the assigned route schedule.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through friendly interactions and familiarity with their operations.
- Handle product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).
- Driving record meeting company insurability standards.
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication with the public and understanding traffic signs.
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Requirements
- One year of customer delivery experience.
- Six months of hand cart/hand truck experience.
- Six months of Food and Beverage experience.
- Two years of consistent work history.

Qualifications
Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a driving record meeting company insurability standards. Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records. Must have the ability to lift, push, or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds repeatedly. Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
