CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver

Job Summary

Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with each customer using a positive, friendly attitude and familiarity with their operations to meet needs and expectations.
• Operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule.
• Accrue up to 2 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, and 3 float days per year.
• Work 4-5 days per week, Monday through Saturday, with an early morning start time.
• Purchase products from Sysco.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 21 years old.
• Must submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year customer delivery experience preferred.
• 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience preferred.
• 6 months Food and Beverage experience preferred.
• 2 years consistent work history preferred.
