CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver

Overview

Responsible for the storage and movement of materials and finished goods including: • Shipping and receiving. • Warehousing. • Order filling, picking, and packing. • Inventory control and records management. • Dispatch. • Developing transport schedules, methods, and routes. • Analyzing and projecting transportation costs. • Coordinating customs clearances and permits. • Maintaining, loading, packing, and driving vehicles. • Evaluating, selecting, and managing ongoing relationships with external transport providers (e.g., fuel suppliers, trucking/shipping companies, etc.). • Acquiring and managing fleet vehicles.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: 21+ years of age. Pass employment testing. Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a driving record meeting company insurability standards. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently. Lift, push, or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds repeatedly. Overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Preferred Requirements: 1 year customer delivery experience preferred. 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience preferred. 6 months Food and Beverage experience preferred. 2 years consistent work history preferred.
