CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver

Job Summary

Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our truck drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

About the Role

Our drivers are responsible for delivering a wide range of products to various customer locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer to transport various products to customer locations.
• Manually unload and deliver products to customer locations according to the assigned route schedule.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Be familiar with customer operations to meet their needs and expectations.
• Handle flexibility, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).
• Pass employment testing.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to read and understand highway traffic signs and signals.
• Ability to respond to official inquiries.
• Ability to make entries on reports and records.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year customer delivery experience preferred.
• 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience preferred.
• 6 months Food and Beverage experience preferred.
• 2 years consistent work history preferred.
