Schedule

  • Day Dispatch (Monday - Friday): 3:00 AM–6:00 AM
  • Night Dispatch (Sunday - Friday): 2:00 PM-6:00 PM
  • 4-Day Work Week Available
  • Overtime Pay & Bonuses

Pay

$1,440+ per week (avg. $70K–$75K annually)

About the role

  • Deliver food products to local customers on scheduled routes
  • Home daily – no long-haul
  • Consistent routes & hours

Responsibilities

  • Unload product and place in designated areas
  • Complete deliveries safely and on time
  • Interact with customers professionally
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products
  • Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip), including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations and company safety standards
  • Report all safety issues and/or repairs required
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices of loaded products
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks, scan items, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
  • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required
  • Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork
  • Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clean
  • Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Must be over 21 years of age
  • Safe driving record
  • Ability to handle touch freight (unloading required)
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6+ months of commercial driving experience
  • 6+ months of delivery experience
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or have a valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure a new one
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight (10-90 pounds) throughout shift
