CDL-A Entry Level Driver | Paid Mentor Training

About the role

This fleet hires new CDL holders and pays them while they train. You’ll run a big map covering everything east of Denver except the Northeast, with a mix of drop‑and‑hook, live loads and preloads. Expect steady miles, an assigned truck (about 1.5 years old, automatic or 10‑speed), and a home‑time rhythm of roughly two weeks out followed by a reset at home. The position serves the Houma, Thibodaux, Raceland and Morgan City area.

Responsibilities

• Complete 4‑6 weeks of mentored training covering backing, trip planning, logs and fueling.
• Drive the assigned tractor‑trailer safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate logs, perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, and fuel the vehicle.
• Communicate with driver leadership for any issues on the road.

Requirements

• Class A CDL issued by your state of residence.
• Age 21 or older.
• Either a recent CDL graduate with 120+ hours of school, or at least 6 months of recent driving experience.
• No more than two moving violations in the past 2 years.
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and hair/urine drug screen.
