About the role

NorthEast Electrical is seeking a Full-time, CDL A Driver to join our growing team in Lawrence, MA. Hours: Monday‑Friday 1 am start. As a NorthEast Electrical Union Driver for the Lawrence, MA location, you will be the face of the company driving a company‑provided truck to transport materials to valued customers. You will operate company equipment safely, ensure product is in perfect condition, and perform related warehouse duties as needed. NorthEast Electrical distributes electrical products and services to contractors throughout the Northeast and is part of the Sonepar group, the world’s #1 electrical distributor with over 45,000 associates globally.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver material in a timely manner to customers.
  • Maintain vehicle in proper working condition – conduct daily inspections as per established policies and procedures.
  • Load and unload trucks, move material safely using forklift, pallet jack, handcart, or other device.
  • Count, check, prepare, and record items being received or shipped.
  • May assemble, package, label, stack, palletize, and route material for safe delivery or storage.
  • Complete paperwork, documentation, and data input in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed by manager.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid CDL A license with a clean MVR for the past 5 years.

Skills

  • Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.

Pay

Start rate: $29 per hour plus a $3,000 sign‑on bonus.
