About the role
Our client is seeking a CDL A Driver for a local, no‑touch driving position in the Akron, Ohio area. This temp‑to‑perm opportunity offers consistent Monday‑through‑Friday work, competitive hourly pay, and overtime eligibility. Location: Akron, Ohio. Route type: Local. Assignment: Temp‑to‑Hire. Transmission: Automatic. Handling: No‑touch freight.
Pay
$25 per hour, with an estimated weekly gross pay of $1,000. Overtime pay after 40 hours.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. start time, 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Operate a CDL A vehicle safely on local routes in the Akron, Ohio area.
- Transport no‑touch freight according to schedule.
- Follow all applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain a professional and safety‑focused approach while representing our client.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A.
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
