Our drivers make $70-75k annually with overtime. Progressive pay raises every 6 months for the first 24 months, and annual increases every year thereafter. Overtime paid after 40 hours per week.

Pay

$31.50 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Annual earnings range from $70,000 to $75,000.

Schedule

  • 1 overnight shift per week (with hotel accommodation provided)
  • Up to 2 overnights per week based on business needs after full onboarding
  • No weekends

About the role

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure customers’ products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition while representing our company and building lasting customer relationships.

The Driver, Hourly CDL-A is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop deliveries. Drivers deliver and unload food and food-related products safely and in accordance with DOT regulations, while maintaining professional communication with customers, vendors, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip inspections) of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations and company safety standards; report safety issues or needed repairs.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; immediately report safety hazards.
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; perform count checks and verify customer invoices.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedules.
  • Unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas; perform damage control checks and scan items as required.
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures; collect payments where required.
  • Load customer returns onto the trailer and secure trailer doors; ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked/secured.
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns at driver check-in; complete necessary paperwork.
  • Unload equipment and materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
  • Complete daily records of hours of service and enter logs in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and trailers.
  • Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 6+ months of commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid/current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, lift gate) to move and stack product cases/freight weighing 10–90 pounds throughout the shift
