CDL-A Curtain Side Truck Driver Local Route 1st Shift Monday-Friday

About the role

This position involves driving a 28-foot curtain side truck to deliver various woodworking supplies to customers in Connecticut, Southern New York, and parts of Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Ohio. The primary responsibilities include loading and securing materials, delivering to multiple stops, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Load truck with sit-down propane forklift and by hand with materials such as drawer slides, hinges, door and cabinetry handles, hand/power tools, sandpaper goods, paint/stain, plywood, cabinetry, synthetic countertop materials, and laminate goods.
• Secure load to truck by tying down to ensure safe travel between stops.
• Pass goods to customers by hand weighing up to 80 lbs as needed.
• Deliver to between 5 and 10 stops daily.
• Communicate with management regarding customer questions and concerns.
• Use Samsara ELD on company cell phone for pre-trip inspections and DOT-compliant on-duty status.

Requirements

• Must be comfortable wearing a company uniform and protective footwear (composite or steel toe).
• Safe driving record (MVR).
• Valid CDL-B or CDL-A.
• Valid DOT Med Card.
