About the Role
The Account Specialist – Pre-Tax is an integral member of our Client Success and Customer Support teams, serving as a trusted resource for our Consumer Driven Healthcare (CDH) clients. In this role, you will partner closely with Relationship Managers to support client retention, operational excellence, and overall client satisfaction. You'll provide exceptional support, resolve complex issues, assist with plan administration, and ensure our clients receive the outstanding experience ThrivePass is known for. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping clients successfully navigate pre-tax benefit programs.
Responsibilities
- Consistently achieve quarterly goals while exemplifying ThrivePass' CARE values.
- Deliver exceptional phone and email support for Consumer Driven Healthcare (CDH) clients.
- Provide timely issue resolution, proactive follow-up, and customer support in accordance with ThrivePass service level expectations.
- Partner with Relationship Managers to support renewals, client retention efforts, and ongoing account management activities.
- Serve as a backup resource for Member Services during periods of high volume by answering calls, managing support tickets, and processing claims.
- Maintain and audit administrative system settings to ensure accurate plan administration and compliance with plan documents.
- Assist clients with reports, audits, system navigation, and training needs.
- Complete month-end processing activities accurately and on schedule.
- Manage manual imports and file uploads related to client accounts.
- Support client and participant education efforts through training and onboarding activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and provide ongoing support to teammates working with CDH clients.
- Identify opportunities to improve client experiences and internal processes.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in claims administration, customer service, account support, benefits administration, or a related field.
- Experience working with Alegeus or similar benefit administration platforms.
- Working knowledge of:
- Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
- Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
- COBRA administration
- Medical benefits administration
- HIPAA compliance requirements
- Strong customer service mindset with a demonstrated commitment to creating positive client experiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Comfortable learning and utilizing new technologies and systems.
- Ability to analyze issues, identify needs, and recommend effective solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Pay
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $37,000 - $42,000 annually, including any applicable incentive compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
