About the role
The Office of Communication (OC) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking a STEM-focused fellow to gain experience in health communication, business analytics, and organizational optimization.
Responsibilities
- Train on projects focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of communication activities through data analysis, process evaluation, and problem-solving.
- Learn about analyzing communication and operational data, identifying areas for improvement, and exploring research-informed approaches for enhancing health communication materials.
- Conduct literature reviews and formative research to inform organizational and program objectives.
- Perform gap analyses and evaluate data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and data summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have received a master's degree in communications and graphics design, health communications, or a related field within the last five years. Demonstrated interest in public health communication, analytics, systems improvement, or related STEM fields, along with a willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment, are preferred. Prior experience or technical skills in data analysis, evaluation, or health communication are desirable.
