Essential Performance Responsibilities

• Counsels students, teachers, and parents on the improvement of speech.
• Conducts assessments, testing, and diagnostic examinations of students.
• Provides individual therapy for students with diagnosed speech issues.
• Aids in the identification and placement of students in appropriate speech programs.

• Professional Development

  • Acquires professional knowledge through seminars, workshops, and professional meetings.
  • Maintains up-to-date records and ensures accurate record-keeping.

  Parental Involvement and Communication

  • Encourages parental involvement in students' education.
  • Maintains effective communication with students and parents.

  Supplies and Equipment

  • Selects and requisitions appropriate books, aids, and other supplies and equipment.
  • Maintains inventory records.

  Travel Requirements

  • Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

  Qualifications

  • Indiana State Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
  • Prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
