Essential Skills Required For This Position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Punctual, flexible and reliable
- Ability to apply appropriate guiding techniques and behavior management consistent with our policies
- Friendly and a desire to work in a team setting with the ability to work independently
- Experience working with children with additional support requirements such as Autism
- Able to meet the needs of caring for a child who is a flight risk
- Proficient in written and verbal English
- Able to adapt activities and learning materials to meet the child’s strengths, interests, and developmental needs
Position Details
This Position will allow us to enhance our ratio in order to effectively meet the additional needs of a child in our care within an inclusive environment. Our Centre hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 5:30pm and we are located on a major bus route. We are looking for someone available to work 8:30-5:30 which is an 8-hour shift with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
