Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue and margin goals.
- Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Manage and grow an assigned sales territory through regular customer visits and business development activities.
- Utilize CRM systems and sales reports to manage pipelines, track performance, and identify growth opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, builders, distributors, and customers.
- Review sales analysis, retention reports, and customer activity to support account growth and retention.
- Communicate customer concerns, product feedback, and quality issues to internal teams.
- Assist with inventory forecasting, large project planning, and special order coordination.
- Promote company products, pricing strategies, and sales initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry opportunities.
- Collaborate with branch leadership and operations teams to support customer satisfaction and operational success.
- Travel extensively throughout the territory to support business growth and customer relationships.
Requirements
- Previous outside sales, territory management, account management, or business development experience required.
- Strong CRM experience and pipeline management skills.
- Proven ability to generate leads, develop new business, and achieve sales goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage a large sales territory.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 75%, including occasional overnight travel.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience in building materials, manufacturing, distribution, construction, or related industries preferred.
