About the role
Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, both clerical and clinical. Convey a positive image of the clinic by providing excellent customer service to patients, doctors, and other medical staff. Work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Collect, process routine testing, and return results to the physician
- Perform CLIA-waived moderate testing
- Patient referrals, pulling charts, filing, cleaning/wrapping instruments, and stocking rooms
- Reconcile labs, room patients, and take vitals and history
- Handle Healthy Connections referrals/eligibility, collection calls, and prior authorizations
- Check patients in/out at the front desk, collecting pertinent information
- Collect and process payments, scan and discharge patients, answer phones, post charges
- Assist with some coding/billing and medical records
- Perform blood draws and administer injections
For Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN): Provide direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting. Communicate with providers, nurse managers, and co-workers about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including diagnostic results and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment. Utilize all training, skills, and abilities developed through licensure. May also handle inventory/ordering responsibilities and cross-train in additional clinic areas, including laboratory rapid assays, reception, and radiographic studies.

Qualifications
- 6 months of medical experience; 2-5 years of clinical experience preferred
- BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required within 60 days of hire
