About the Role
Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, both clerical and clinical. Convey a positive image of the clinic. Perform CLIA-waived moderate testing, patient referrals, pulling charts, filing, cleaning/wrapping instruments, stocking rooms, reconciling labs, rooming patients, taking vitals and history. Handle Healthy Connections referrals/eligibility, collection calls, prior authorizations, checking patients in/out at the front desk, collecting pertinent information, processing payments, scanning and discharging, answering phones, posting charges, some coding/billing, medical records, blood draws, and giving injections.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting. Communicates with providers, nurse manager, and co-workers about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic evaluation and symptomatology changes. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment. May also handle inventory/ordering responsibilities and cross-train in additional clinic areas, including laboratory rapid assays, reception, and radiographic studies.

Requirements
- 6 months of medical experience; 2–5 years of clinical experience preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to concentrate for long periods and maintain better-than-average attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
- Ability to handle conflict with patients and staff
- BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications within 60 days of hire
Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant
- Current, unencumbered Idaho Medical Assistant Certificate
Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current, unencumbered LPN Idaho license
- IV therapy certification and drug administration certification within 60 days of hire
- Ability to accurately calculate drug dosing and drip rates for IV therapy
