Responsibilities
- Perform O-Level quality assurance on assigned aircraft.
- Works from blueprints, maintenance manuals, quality control procedures, quality instructions, contractor standard specifications, Naval inspection manual/cards and military technical directives.
- Inspects aircraft mechanical, electrical and electronic systems assemblies and engines using general and special test equipment.
- Maintains required logs and records.
- Ensures work area is maintained in a neat and orderly manner and that all safety rules and regulations are observed.
- Works with other groups or personnel to resolve problems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of aircraft maintenance experience as an aircraft quality assurance representative/specialist in naval aviation (E-6), or civil service (WG-10), or Government aviation maintenance Contractor inspector.
- Minimum of ten years (performed within the last 15 years) of experience performing repairs of high-performance aircraft.
- Shall have at least three years specific T/M required aircraft experience at the O-Level in the T/M/S aircraft hired to maintain. (P-8)
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the Navy Quality Assurance Program.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a secret security clearance.
- Candidates must have been released from military service with an Honorable Discharge to meet minimum qualifications.
