Responsibilities

• Maintain records of Government and Company owned equipment, material, parts, and supplies for utilization and control.
• Ensure compliance with tool calibration programs.
• Apply technical knowledge of Company and Government supply, material, equipment, and tool control procedures to meet tool room and work center operational needs.
• Read, interpret, and comply with detailed administration procedures, instructions, regulations, and applicable publications.
• Monitor Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List Program and other applicable manuals and publications.
• Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and worker production sheets.
• Calculate types and quantities of items produced, materials used, scrap amounts, defect frequency, and worker/department production rates.
• Write production reports based on compiled, tabulated, and computed data.
• Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
• Compile detailed production sheets or work tickets for production workers as assembly or manufacturing guides.
• Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.
• Compile material inventory records and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
• Chart production using charts, graphs, or pegboards based on compiled statistics for reference by production and management personnel.
• Sort and distribute work tickets or materials to workers.
• Compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data for payroll preparation (as needed).
• Process Naval Aircraft Flight Record (NAVFLIR) input and validation.
• Verify flight operation reports.
• Assist maintenance control supervisor with aircraft discrepancy book reviews.
• Prepare, record, verify, and update aircraft records and reports.
• Prepare and update engine documentation.
• Monitor, order, verify, and update technical directives (TDs).
• Initiate, update, and verify aircraft logbooks and aeronautical equipment service record (AESR) forms and records.
• Ensure accurate provision of aircraft inventories, equipment serial numbers, and configurations.
• Prepare and verify aircraft inventory records.
• Comply with all current sections of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series applicable to aircraft maintenance.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of technical publications, NAMP, and NALCOMIS aircraft maintenance applications.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Completion of the Navy AZ class "C" school or USMC/USCG equivalent.
• Two or more years of recent aircraft records experience.
• Prior maintenance and material control operations experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level clearance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance and material control procedures.
• Knowledge of aircraft logbooks, logs and records, and production reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Ability to analyze maintenance and material data.
• Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Understanding of technical language terms in the associated field.
• Possess a valid US State driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret data.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Skills

• Technical knowledge of supply, material, equipment, and tool control procedures.
• Proficiency in compiling and recording production data.
• Experience with aircraft maintenance applications (NAMP, NALCOMIS).
• Familiarity with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series and technical directives.

Physical Requirements / Working Environment

• Ability to work under pressure and continuously meet deadlines.
• Works in a normal office and hangar environment.

Pay

Maryland Salary Range: USD $39.92 per hour.

• Union Flex Benefit Credit: USD $3.00 per hour.
• Opt-Out Health Credit (if you have your own coverage): USD $3.15 per hour.
• Additional compensation elements offered: Overtime Premium Pay, Differential Pay.
