Skills
- Advanced electronic principles and circuit analysis
- Interpretation of schematic diagrams, engineering drawings, and charts
- Excellent soldering and harness/wiring skills
- Working knowledge of aircraft communications/navigation and instrument systems
- Knowledge of all standard test equipment and maintenance procedures
- Working knowledge of technical orders and maintenance forms
Qualifications
- In-depth working knowledge of CNAFINST 4790.2 and NAVINST 3710.1 series and all applicable technical publications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years US Navy/USMC/USCG O-Level CNAFINST 4790.2 aircraft maintenance support experience
- Minimum 3 years T/M/S aircraft maintenance experience
- Experience as T/M/S CDI or CDQAR
- Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Performs scheduled/unscheduled O-Level maintenance on specific applicable T/M/S aircraft Egress, Environmental and related systems
- Performs flight line essential services as directed to daily Flight Schedule
- Routine lifting in excess of OSHA standards is required
- Routine ordnance loading will require team lifts of ordnance items up to 167 pounds’ load share per team member, in accordance with standard USN procedures
- Directs Level I work center personnel to accomplish specific maintenance actions as required
- Performs operational checks, bench checks, troubleshoots, and isolates malfunctions in complex aircraft avionics equipment
- Repairs or replaces components based on test results following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents
- Performs calibration, repair and replacement of system components based on test results following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents
- Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times
- Utilizes the OOMA NALCOMIS system in documenting aircraft maintenance actions
- Obtains all certifications required to perform the job requirements
- Performs other duties as requested
