CB TN Assembly Technician II

About the Role

Assemble boats by following specific boat construction order. A variety of tasks are performed building the components of each boat using power and non-power hand tools working from specifications and schematic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Apply high energy, self-motivation, and initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and processes.
• Use safely and effectively high-speed pneumatic and battery-powered power tools: drills, drivers, hand tools, etc.
• Read drawings and specifications.
• Complete required documentation of finished parts for production purposes.
• Perform varied and dynamic daily job duties.
• Track workload via daily schedules and assignments, ensuring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness of completion.
• Perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment while wearing all required PPE.
• Take on new tasks and duties with little training or assistance.
• Train new operators on safe methods and best practices to help them become successful operators.
• Be a self-starter and expert in respective areas.
• Complete multiple positions and/or tasks in a timely and safe manner.
• Learn new models and assist in implementing best practices.
• Practice good housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior woodworking, construction, and/or mechanic experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to work at heights, lift parts and pieces up to 50 lbs., travel up and down stairs, sit, squat, and bend in various awkward positions for certain lengths of time—including working overhead.
• Travel in and out of work areas, walk, and be on your feet for a majority of the workday.
• Physical exertion is required.
