About the role

To provide care, preparation and positioning of patients to obtain high quality diagnostic images utilizing CT studies.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, preparation and positioning of patients to obtain high quality diagnostic images utilizing CT studies.
• Education And Credentials
• Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology or graduate of approved ARRT Certification program required.
• Completion with a passing score of a cross sectional anatomy exam required.
• If Certified, cross sectional anatomy exam not required.
• Radiology Technologist required.
• The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists(ARRT R)required.
• The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT CT) within 3 Years required.
• NYS Cert For IV Contrast Admin 90 Days required.
• Must become certified in CT within 3 years of hire/transfer and sit for first exam within 18 months from hire/transfer and successfully pass within 3 years from hire/transfer.
• Certification must remain current and active.
• Employees hired into job prior to 8/24/04 are grandfathered for ARRT-CT.
• ARRT -R must be current and maintained for any employees hired/transferred effective 6/12/12.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) 90 days from hire or transfer required.
• Existing Imaging Technologists as of 11/10/2020 will have until 8/31/2021 to obtain their BLS.
• Experience
• 1 year of experience in CT preferred.
• 1 year of experience in X-ray Tech position required.
