Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
The Spiritual Care Services department is made up of four service lines: Chaplaincy, Chaplaincy Education, Palliative Care Consult Services and Ethics Committee support. Each of these service lines participates within the healthcare interdisciplinary teams at Barnes-Jewish Hospital with the goal of healing body, mind and spirit.
Preferred Requirements
- Proof of ordination as priest, good standing, and endorsement to hospital ministry by the Archdiocese of St. Louis required

Education: Master's Degree Theology/related
Experience: Supervisor Experience
Licenses & Certifications: 1 Unit ACPE CPE or equivSpecial Ministry EndorsementRoman Catholic Priest
Skills
Provides sacramental and supportive ministries for Roman Catholic patients, their families, hospital staff and physicians.
Celebrates Mass as scheduled.
Assists with coordinating the Volunteer Eucharistic Ministers.
Assists with coordinating Contractual Priest services as needed.
