Catheterization Lab Technologist | Cardiac Cath Lab | Full Time | Days
Summary
Under the direction of the Administrative Director, Cardiovascular Services, the Medical Director of Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the Cath Lab Nurse Manager, the Cath Lab Technologist will perform duties necessary for caring for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures at a technical and professional level. The technologist will provide procedural care for patients, ages 18 years and up, undergoing cardiac procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.
Schedule
Full‑time, 36 hours per week.
Education
High School Diploma plus additional training. Related degree preferred.
Certification, Registration & Licensure
- At time of hire: BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS.
- Registration required to obtain within 2 years: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) and maintain renewal as required.
- Rad Tech Certification (as time of hire: Registered as Medical Technician – NH Board of Registration of Medical Technicians).
Experience
- Clinical experience in critical care areas; cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Experience may include EMTs, paramedics, surgical techs.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to the Cath Lab patient by applying actions based on clinical judgment.
- Administer medications according to hospital policies and procedures.
- Deliver pre‑ and post‑procedural care to patients.
- Deliver intra‑procedural care in the role of circulator.
- Deliver intra‑procedural care in the role of scrub.
- Deliver intra‑procedural care in the role of monitor.
- Take ownership and responsibility for individual performance goals.
- Assist with clinical training and competencies in adherence with lab protocols.
- Participate in departmental, team and committee goals.
- Complete departmental and hospital requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
