Cath Lab Technologist I

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab principals/theory and utilizes themost appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines and according to current competencies and scope of practice.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

  Specifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year Cardiac Cath or EP lab experience.
  • Education: Minimum Required Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Associate's degree or accredited Surgical Technology program or accredited Radiology program.
  • Special Skills: Licensure - Minimum Required BLS Certification within 14 DAYS of HIRE; ACLS certification within 6 months of hire; RCIS/RCES certification or CST certification or ARRT(R).
