Responsibilities
- Maintain a 360-degree view of patient health by actively monitoring real-time physiological data, including heart rate, rhythm, and pressures.
- Act as the "eyes of the room," anticipating subtle changes in catheter position or patient status and communicating them instantly to the physician and surgical team.
- Perform and interpret critical intra-procedural testing, including oxygen saturation runs, calculating cardiac output, and assessing shunting to drive clinical decision-making.
- Demonstrate expert-level understanding of diverse procedures and specialized equipment, ensuring strict asepsis and adapting to physicians’ specific case needs.
- Champion a culture of safety by managing room setup, maintaining infection control protocols, and upholding the highest standards of sharps safety and waste management.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) obtained within 1 month of hire.
- One or more of the following:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI).
- Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology (CCI).
- Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or Florida Radiologic Technology).
- Preferred Credential(s):
- Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
