Cath Lab Technician

About the role

A Cath Lab Tech who excels in this role:

• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Maintains vigilance over patient condition, monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

Requirements

Basic Life Support certification is required ACLS within 6 months of hire

Qualifications

Applicants should be ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology. CI or RCIS preferred.

Skills

ARRT Registered in Radiologic Technology. CI or RCIS preferred.
