Responsibilities

• Assist physicians (Cardiologist/Radiologist) by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
• Ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared for procedures.
• Monitor par levels of all instruments and supplies.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Assist in the training of new staff.
• Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience assisting with scrubbing procedures and monitoring data, preferably in a Cardiovascular Lab.
• Completion of a cardiovascular technician training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (AHA) required upon hire and must be maintained.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Proficient computer skills.
