Responsibilities
- Assist physicians (Cardiologist/Radiologist) by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
- Ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared for procedures.
- Monitor par levels of all instruments and supplies.
- Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
- Assist in training new staff.
- Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience assisting with scrubbing procedures and monitoring data, preferably in a Cardiovascular Lab.
- Cardiovascular technician training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (AHA) certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Proficient computer skills.
