Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic and cath lab procedure equipment with expertise and safety
- Assist with the care of patients in the cath lab
- Document necessary information regarding patients' cardiac procedures
- Utilize knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique in preparing patients for procedures
- Assist in setting up sterile trays and cross-train to scrub role
- Affix to performance improvement (PI) activities by serving on PI teams, assisting with PI measures, and supporting/implementing changes for improvement
- Perform responsibilities related to departmental charging of procedures and supplies
- Assist with other achieving duties
- Assist with transportation of patients as needed
- Participate in direct patient care, observing symptoms and taking appropriate action
- Affix to emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patients, such as cardiac arrest
- Attend in-service programs, required training/education, and unit/department/service meetings
- Maintain awareness of radiologic and other safety precautions relevant to the age of the patient (adult and geriatric)
Qualifications
- Radiologic Technologist licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Cross-train to the scrub position
- Takes 3-11, 11-7, weekend, and holiday call
- Must be able to respond within 20 minutes of a call-out
- Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English
