Responsibilities

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse assists cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and interventional radiologists with pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care, including:

• Providing teaching and follow-up to patients and their families.
• Managing information for patients undergoing invasive cardiology and/or vascular procedures.
• Assisting in diagnostic and interventional coronary procedures, IR, or vascular procedures based on facility scope.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
• Current Arizona or Compact State Registered Nurse License.
• Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or other approved programs.
• Current ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or other approved programs.
• Minimum of two years critical care experience.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and providers.
• Understanding of computer systems, process design, and data management.
• Well-groomed, professional appearance.
• Mental and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Able to operate all patient care equipment to assist with CV/IR/Vascular procedures within the Cath Lab.
• Three years of registered nurse experience in the Cath Lab.
• Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
