About the role

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath, Vascular, and IR Lab Pre/Post department (CVIS). Up to $15,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates. Schedule: four 10‑hour shifts per week, 7:00 am to 4:30 am (note: likely 7:00 am–5:30 pm). On‑call rotation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform competent nursing care guided by the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, evaluation).
• Uphold standards of professional performance: ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
• Apply clinical knowledge and skills specific to the Cardiac Cath, Vascular, and IR Lab Pre/Post setting.

Requirements

Education

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) (preferred)

Certification & Licensure

• Virginia RN License or Compact/Multi‑State eligibility
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS certification within 1 year of hire

Experience

• Registered Nurse with background in Critical Care, PCU, ER, Cardiac, Stepdown, or Recovery Room

Pay

Base pay range for full‑time employment: $41.93 – $61.01 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, on‑call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Actual compensation varies based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
