Position Summary
Perform a variety of duties required for catering events; coordinate, set-up, break down and clean up activities to include order supplies/equipment, deliver food, and maintain inventory; provide quality service to both internal and external customers. Ensures adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.
Responsibilities
- COORDINATE - Coordinate catering events to include delivery, set-up, break down and clean up; ensure attractive garnishing and food display; work in collaboration with cooks to coordinate catering food order
- SCHEDULE - Review catering event schedules and prepare order requests for needed product and equipment; inspect catering event sites; ensure compliance with TJC and other regulatory agency requirements
- INVENTORY - Maintain inventory of catering supplies to include dishes, serviceware and other related catering equipment and supplies
- QUALITY - Adjusts client billing in accordance with actual services provided; ensure customer satisfaction by providing quality service
- LIAISON - May serve as liaison for assigned area; respond and resolve inquiries and complaints
- RELATED WORK - Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications
- Education: Essential: High School or GED Equivalent
- Experience: Essential: 1 year directly related experience
- Nonessential: No preferred experience
- Credentials: Essential: Valid New Mexico Driver's License
- Physical Conditions: Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
