About the role
Work with a diverse portfolio of events including: Weddings, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, Galas and Fundraisers, Corporate Meetings & Conferences, Holiday Parties, Social Celebrations and Special Events.
Responsibilities
- Build lasting relationships with clients, event planners, community organizations, and local businesses.
- Conduct site tours, sales presentations, and client meetings.
- Develop customized proposals and negotiate contracts.
- Maximize revenue opportunities across catering, meeting space, guestrooms, and hotel services.
- Utilize Marriott systems and industry-leading sales tools to manage opportunities and forecast revenue.
- Attend networking events, chamber functions, trade shows, and community events to generate new business.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the social and corporate event markets.
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and reporting.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced hospitality sales professional who understands the pace, complexity, and excitement of catering and event sales. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully booking and managing weddings, Mitzvahs, social events, galas, and corporate conferences while delivering exceptional customer service and achieving revenue goals.
Qualifications
- Previous Catering Sales or Hotel Sales experience.
- Understands the unique requirements of social and corporate event sales.
- Confident conducting site tours, presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing business.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
- Previous CI.TY experience preferred, but not required.
- Enjoys building relationships and becoming a trusted advisor to clients.
- Works collaboratively with Operations, Culinary, Event Management, and Hotel Leadership teams to ensure flawless event execution.
- Highest level of organization, self-motivation, and drive to exceed revenue goals.
- Buys a positive attitude, professional presence, and passion for hospitality every day.
