About the role

Reports to Kitchen Manager(s) and Chef Team.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes and kitchen equipment as they come through the dish pit.
• Work with the kitchen team to ensure dishes and equipment are stored properly.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to align with the catering events schedule.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Promote an inclusive and supportive approach within the team, focusing on removing barriers and empowering growth at all levels.
• Lead by example in sustainability and conservation efforts, sharing knowledge with unit staff as needed.
• Engage in community efforts and giving-back initiatives.
• Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to work standing for long periods of time.
• Experience with a fast-paced dish pit environment preferred.
• Ability to efficiently manage dishes and organize the area as needed.
• Knowledge of MSDS and active practice of cleanliness in the dish area, including proper use of dish liquids.
• Commitment to upholding sanitation requirements to ensure a clean and welcoming experience for guests.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.

Pay

Hourly, non-exempt. Pay is based on a range in consideration of relevant job experience and certification/education.
