About the role

The Catering Director is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing catering operations at a large account or coordinating multiple catering outlets within a single account. This role focuses on planning, executing, and advising on catering orders and special events to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver catering solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong client and customer relationships.
  • Ensure consistent quality in event planning and execution.
  • Facilitate the delivery of prepared food based on banquet event orders.
  • Assist clients in planning special events and provide creative solutions.
  • Train and direct catering staff to uphold event standards and presentation quality.
  • Provide completed Banquet Event Orders to the team and ensure quality assurance for all requests.
  • Drive sales, food, and labor targets while maintaining department budgets.
  • Oversee the execution of catering events of varied sizes, including staffing and management.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of catering-related revenue, expenses, and receivables.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and lead the catering team.
  • Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in a management role.
  • Prior experience in events and catering.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Availability to work event-based hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Completion of Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.

Pay

Salaried compensation for this position ranges from $95,000 to $105,000.
