Sales & Business Development
- Solicit new and repeat business through prospecting, networking, cold calls, site visits, and more
- Respond to inquiries and prepare proposals and contracts based on client needs
- Achieve or exceed revenue and event booking goals
Client Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients from contract through post-event follow-up
- Conduct planning meetings with clients to finalize event details (menus, room setup, audio-visual needs, timelines, etc.)
- Provide exceptional service to build repeat and referral business
Event Coordination
- Collaborate with banquet, culinary, audio-visual, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of events
- Prepare detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and group resumes
- Oversee on-site event execution when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records in the sales & catering system (e.g., Delphi, Opera, or similar CRM)
- Monitor payment schedules, billing, and contract compliance
- Participate in weekly sales and operations meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in catering sales, event planning, or hotel conference services
- Proven track record of sales success and client relationship management
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management software
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends based on event needs
