Catering Assistant

Monday to Friday, 12 pm–7 pm. Weekend overtime available at 1.5× hourly rate on Saturdays, 2× hourly rate on Sundays.
Responsibilities
- Help with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment, including cleaning utensils, tableware, and catering stations.
- Assist with receiving and unpacking all deliveries, ensuring food and supply storage areas are organised.
- Serve food items to customers in accordance with the menu prepared by the Chefs.
- Act as a host/waiter during events when needed.
- Top up vending services.
Requirements
- Commercial kitchen experience is highly valued but not essential.
- Basic Catering and Hospitality certificate (e.g., Food Handling) is desired but not required; training can be provided.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods due to the physical nature of the job.
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Food hygiene course at Level 2 is desirable but not essential; training can be provided.
- Excellent customer service skills.
