About the Role
As a Caterer, you'll be a key player in our success and ensure all of our banquet and catering offerings exceed our guests’ expectations. You’ll help customers discover the pleasure of tasting incredible food and elevate our passion for providing it at every turn. This role requires a team player who knows success comes from setting others up for success, with the drive to grow into a leadership position and inspire those around you.
Responsibilities
- Ensure communications from the sales team are executed at a high level.
- Maintain proper food safety programs.
- Handle multiple tasks while providing exceptional service, including responding to telephone and walk-in inquiries to determine guest needs.
- Manage event bookings from initial contact to event completion with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Produce and distribute contracts; complete catering paperwork, menus, and correspondence.
- Handle all post-event written correspondence.
- Be present at client site visits, tastings, and events to assist with execution when requested by the manager.
- Support the sales efforts of the department with an emphasis on the catering segment.
- Maintain clear communication, both verbal and written, and remain calm under pressure.
- Utilize computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Prioritize safety for Team Members, guests, and products in all aspects of the work.
Requirements
- 0 to 6 months of experience required; experience in single-unit catering, convention centers, or hotel banquet business is desired.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while providing exceptional service.
- Previous hotel and catering experience preferred; prior sales experience strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 18 months to 3 years of additional training.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Regional travel required (daily, 25–50%).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Pay
The hiring range for this position is $16.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.
