About the Role

Maxxon is seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Marketing Manager to lead the Construction Services Group (CSG) Business Unit downstream product marketing initiatives and support sales enablement efforts within CSG. This role focuses on developing deep customer and competitive insights, leveraging technical product knowledge to coordinate the delivery of product collateral, and shaping go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.

The ideal candidate will integrate deep marketing expertise with customer insights and strategic acumen to craft comprehensive product marketing plans designed to foster market adoption and drive the success of our product portfolio, both strategically and tactically.

CSG, part of the MaxTech family of brands, is an owned and authorized contractor specializing in the installation of Maxxon Gypsum and Cementitious Floor Underlayment Systems. CSG operates across 4 coverage regions (Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Upper Midwest) with 12 locations. CSG’s scope can include Insulation, Fireproofing, and Concrete Balcony Waterproofing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategy based on expertise of Maxxon’s CSG Business Unit.
  • Market & Audience Insights – Connect stakeholders to growth opportunities.
  • Product Positioning – Align product management with CSG companies.
  • New Product Development – Identify market trends and profitable additions to Maxxon’s offering.
  • Go-to-Market Activities – Develop customer growth strategies and seek new audiences.
  • Owning Creative Solutions – Produce vehicles for growth within the business.
  • Connect the Marketing Team to other Maxxon departments.
  • Communication of Business Unit Drivers – Ensure clarity of goals and purpose.
  • Consistent Process Adoption – Align with Maxxon corporate initiatives and goals.
  • Accuracy and Clarity – Deliver fundamental collateral that leverages technical excellence.
  • New Business Ventures – Build awareness in the building envelope market.
  • Brand Identity – Tie CSG/Building Envelope to Maxxon/MaxTech core business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience with a proven track record of success in product marketing and/or product management, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for driving product innovation.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on driving measurable business outcomes and product success.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
