Category Manager

About the role

The Senior Category Manager leads the Infrastructure Solutions team, focusing on whitespace product inventory and distribution agreements within data center operations. This individual contributor collaborates with Operations, Product, and Sales teams to develop and execute category strategies that maximize value and align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Identify, negotiate, and implement cost improvement opportunities and favorable agreements
• Drive process improvements to eliminate inefficiencies across products and solutions
• Serve as SME for whitespace categories, developing sourcing strategies using spend analytics
• Lead negotiations, manage vendor relationships, and oversee contract development and onboarding
• Collaborate with IT for system integration and conduct risk assessments for suppliers
• Track KPIs such as cost savings, supplier performance, and contract awards

Qualifications

• 5+ years in global inventory and distribution category management
• Expertise in whitespace solutions for data centers and related products
• Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management
• Familiarity with procurement platforms like Coupa is a plus
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; prior management experience required
