About the role
This position reports to the Category Management Director – Reliability and Mechanical Integrity Services. The successful candidate will negotiate, support, and administer the enterprise-wide Industrial Contractor Services agreement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies that enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and support heightened reliability and cost predictability.
Responsibilities
- Manages assigned categories to optimize the supply base and deliver maximum value to the business.
- Identifies and executes value delivery (cost savings, cost avoidance, revenue enhancement) and risk reduction opportunities within assigned categories.
- Analyzes and interprets data for decision-making and actions in support of category strategy, including TCO and should-cost modeling.
- Develops, implements, and manages category strategies with a focus on value proposition, commercial agreement execution, and administration.
- Develops and manages strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, aligning on category strategies and understanding demand/spend profiles, risks, and business requirements.
- Develops and manages KPIs for measuring supplier performance and facilitates issue resolution related to supplier performance.
- Leads utilization and performance assessments to confirm strategies are effective and strategic suppliers meet or exceed expectations.
- Identifies and leads strategic sourcing projects within assigned categories, analyzing business objectives, developing project plans, and ensuring milestones are met.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to understand the demand/spend profile of assigned categories and sub-categories.
- Develops strategies to mitigate risks and ensure best-in-class support for ongoing business requirements.
- Mentors Category Analysts to ensure all aspects of the category strategy are executed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Four (4) or more years of Supply Chain or relevant business experience.
- Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities.
- Solid understanding of TRACK and SAP Purchasing modules and processes.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build productive, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities and coordinating diverse assignments in a dynamic environment.
