Responsibilities
- Perform inventory analysis, price book management, marketing, alternative markets, and negotiate with vendors
- Manage all purchasing activities
- Direct interaction with all departments within the company, as well as with key customers
- Analyze changes or new issues in materials and supplies to find ways to reduce costs and improve quality
- Receive orders and grant approval for purchases of goods and services
Requirements
- Experience purchasing grocery items, especially produce and perishables
- Finance experience / pricing evaluation / retail cost analysis / gross profit margin knowledge
- Prior experience in procurement of CPG products required
- C-Store (convenience store) experience
- Strong analytical skills and negotiating skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
