Category Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Category Buyer to join our procurement team. This role involves supporting our internal customer needs by leading sourcing events and procuring vital materials and services needed in our day-to-day operations. As a category buyer, you will utilize a strategic mindset while aligning with specific procurement processes. The ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships is imperative. Join us in driving excellence and innovation in our procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing events and execute Purchase Orders for services and materials
• Support multiple stakeholders within the organization with their procurement needs
• Follow up on existing orders with suppliers and stakeholders
• Support special projects throughout the year by representing Supply Chain and ensuring all LCRA purchasing policies and procedures are met

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory management or other relevant experience

Skills

• Expertise conducting formal and informal purchases for goods/services
• Experience managing supplier relationships
• Experience establishing and managing stakeholder relationships
• Understanding of inventory management and control
