About the role
We are seeking a Catastrophic Field Nurse Case Manager to work with injured workers and worker’s compensation cases in Orlando and surrounding areas. This role is home and field-based with occasional travel to doctors' offices, hospitals, and other locations. The Case Manager assesses, plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates medical cases for injured/disabled individuals, working with insurance carriers, medical providers, attorneys, employers, and employees.
Responsibilities
- Assess and plan medical care for work-related injuries
- Coordinate with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees
- Monitor the progress of the injured worker and report results to the employer and insurance carriers
- Work with injured/disabled individuals to manage their medical cases
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in FL
- Experience in worker’s compensation catastrophic case management preferred (critical care, catastrophic injury/illness case management, clinical experience in acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple trauma, burns)
- Recommended certifications (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC)
- Ability to work outside of traditional business hours if needed
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
