Catalyst Technician (Entry Level)

Responsibilities

  • Perform critical reactor and tower maintenance services to refineries and petrochemical facilities nationwide.
  • Day-to-day activities performed in client facilities; both inert and non-inert confined space entry atmosphere.
  • Responsible for maximizing the quality of the Company while maintaining the specified expectations of the client.
  • Ensure a safe working environment while performing work in the client’s facilities.
  • Team member for all rescue operations.
  • Work in immediately dangerous to life and health confined space entry conditions.
  • Operate and maintain all company owned or rented vehicles in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean environment and report unusual findings in vessels to Supervisor.
  • Unload and load tubular vessels.
  • Maintain all company owned and/or rental equipment in an effort to promote quality, professional appearance and reduce the frequency and magnitude of repairs.
  • Keep all equipment clean; document/red tag damaged or broken equipment and tools for repair.
  • Assist with the cleaning and correct loading of equipment on trailers.
  • Learn the proper function and usage of the Breathing Systems Inc. Life Support Equipment and its safety factors.
  • Operate the retrieval devices and multi-gas portable detectors.
  • Monitor the surrounding and the dangers associated with entering confined spaces.
  • Follow all Company Quality Control/Quality Assurance procedures/processes.
  • Conduct all Company business in accordance with Company policies and procedures and maintain professionalism throughout all business dealings both internally and externally.
  • Attend annual training as requested.
  • Complete all Company and client required training.
  • Demonstrate skills necessary to perform confined space entries (non-inert).
  • Learn organizational skills, problem solving and communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to perform tasks and resources assigned by supervision.
  • Maintain poise and focus under time constraint.

Requirements

  • Physically demanding job requiring activities such as bending, stooping, walking, climbing, squatting, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, standing, sitting, and lifting more than 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar field preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
