Cat Scan Technician

Responsible for

• Performing routine CT exams in inpatients and/or outpatients settings
• Adhering to established protocols for position, image quality, and radiation safety
• Utilizing a variety of equipment including CT Scanners, power injectors, computers, and various software programs
• Entering patient related information into hospital databases

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT in Cat Scan (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) within twelve months of working in that modality
• State of New Jersey licensure in Radiologic technology
• Analytical ability to resolve problems using basic specific, mathematical, or technical principles
• Ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families
