Caster Process Engineer

About the role

The Process Engineer will support Continuous Casting operations at one of the most advanced steelmaking facilities in North America, focusing on optimizing caster performance, improving quality and production KPIs, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and partnering cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and technology teams.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in casting/process engineering within steel manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of caster operations and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience analyzing production, quality, and operational performance metrics
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment

Preferred Experience

• Advanced caster process expertise
• Melt Shop experience
• SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency
